How old do I have to be to tan?
Per RCW 18.370.020 you must be 18 years of age to tan in a tanning bed, unless prescribed by a physician. Verification of age will be made with a driver's license or government-issued ID.
Do I need to build a base tan?
Yes, starting slowly and building a base tan helps promote more even, longer-lasting color and supports responsible tanning habits.
How often can I tan?
You may tan once every 24 hours.
How long does it take to see results?
Many clients notice visible color after just one session, with deeper results developing over multiple visits.
What should I wear for a tanning session?
Most clients tan in swimwear or undergarments.
How often are your beds disinfected?
Our tanning beds are sanitized between each customer by your tanning consultant with Australian Gold's PH Neutral Disinfectant.
Are tanning beds safe?
When used responsibly and in moderation, UV tanning beds are designed for controlled exposure. Our trained staff helps guide session timing based on your skin type.
Do I need protective eyewear?
Yes. Protective eyewear is required for all UV tanning bed and booth sessions to protect your eyes from UV exposure. We have goggles available for use upon request that are sanitized between each use.
Can I use lotion in the bed?
Yes—using a quality indoor tanning lotion is recommended to enhance results and help keep skin hydrated. Ask our staff for product recommendations.
We do not allow the use of baby oil or "tingle"/hot lotions in our tanning beds.
Can I tan if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, but we recommend starting with shorter sessions and speaking with our staff so we can help tailor a safe, comfortable tanning plan for you.
